In July 2018, the FCC released DA 18-710 describing its new rules for CAF Broadband Performance Testing. This webinar replay provides a snapshot to what tests are needed, when the tests are needed, how many test locations are required, and a solution set that will meet the FCC requirement
As anticipated, the FCC, in public notice DA 19-490, announced a delay to the start of the Performance Measures Order that was adopted in July of 2018. This delay pushes the start date for testing to January of 2020 and will allow the FCC to address the pending petitions and questions that have been raised over the last year in regards to implementation of this testing. This also allows service providers an opportunity to pre-test their solution to accurately reflect the performance of their network.
